Washington D.C.

I recently returned from a nice trip to Washington DC. I feel fortunate to travel to our capitol on such a regular basis. Normally, I go to DC in the late fall and with a group of high school students. This time, I travelled with a group of teachers, primarily elementary school teachers, as part of a Teach American History grant. Highlights of this trip include the National Portrait Gallery ( I feel sad that I missed Stephen Colbert's portrait), a wonderful Capitol tour by Rep. Rob Bishop (UT-1), a day at Gettysburg, and a 14 inning marathon baseball game at the new Nationals stadium. Here are a few pictures from the trip...

Lovely pictures of a lovely trip. I still can't believe I haven't been there! I like Tori's idea.
